Community Spotlight: Crafty Goodness
February 20, 2012

Family Promise is delighted to be a recipient of Crafting for a Cause, a wonderful initiative of Crafty Goodness, a modern arts and crafts store located in Lakewood, Ohio. Christin Sorenson, the owner of Crafty Goodness, coordinated the donation of a dozen handcrafted blankets, designed and made by local artists and crafters. Family Promise will distribute the blankets to families who are moving from homelessness to housing. Our Welcome Home program delivers gently-used home furnishing and household goods to families starting their new life and we help them make their new “house” into a home. These blankets are works of art that will grace each family’s home with warmth and beauty.
