Meet Joan Maser, Our New Executive Director

Family Promise of Greater Cleveland welcomed Joan Maser as our new Executive Director in January.  Joan brings broad and extensive leadership experience to the already strong programming at Family Promise of Greater Cleveland.  Trained and licensed as a social worker, Joan has spent her human service career in mental health and social service agencies whose primary focus is on helping youth and families overcome obstacles such as poverty, educational barriers, and mental health issues.  Since 1997 Joan has been with Applewood Centers in Cleveland where she has held positions of Executive Vice President and Associate Director.  In addition, she has provided leadership in development and external relations.  Prior to joining Applewood, Joan was Director of Outpatient Services and Administrative Services at Children’s Hospital Guidance Centers (now a part of Nationwide Children’s Hospital) in Columbus.

Joan has a strong commitment to the mission, vision and values of Family Promise of Greater Cleveland.  She is looking forward to building on the foundation established with the recent merger of two outstanding organizations, Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cleveland and New Life Community.
