Teaching and learning about homelessness

The first step toward ending homelessness is understanding the root causes that lead to it. We can help groups of all ages, from grade school to senior citizens, build an awareness of the challenges very poor families face. One option is the Just Neighbors curriculum.

  • Educate your group about poverty.
  • Spur them on to greater service.
  • Empower them as advocates for neighbors in need.

The format is flexible and easily tailored to your group’s needs. Each session can be used on its own, or Just Neighbors can be used as a series. Just Neighbors leads your group to examine the issues at the root of poverty in the United States. More importantly, though, Just Neighbors will inspire your group to do something about it! Contact Sarah Cruise for more information about how to use Just Neighbors with your group. You can visit the website to purchase kits.
