Give Through Your Workplace

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Talk with your employer to find out if your company has a matching gift policy and double your gift of support to Family Promise of Greater Cleveland!

Gifts of Stock

‍As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Family Promise of Greater Cleveland is permitted to receive support through gifts of stock. Please contact your legal/tax advisor to review any tax implications of a stock donation and how the value of a donation is reported to tax authorities. When stock is transferred, please notify Sara Brintnall, Advancement Director, at sbrintnall@familypromise.org, so that we may properly credit and acknowledge the gift.

Donor-Advised Funds

Retirement Distributions

If you are over the age of 70.5, you may be eligible to direct a portion of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your traditional IRA to Family Promise of Greater Cleveland, up to $100,000 per year. This is called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Work directly with your financial advisor to set up your QCD and then please notify Sara Brintnall, Advancement Director, at sbrintnall@familypromise.org, so that we may properly credit and acknowledge the gift.

Peer-To-Peer Fundraising

Thank you for supporting families across the region who are experiencing homelessness and are being served by Family Promise of Greater Cleveland. Hosting a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, benefitting Family Promise of Greater Cleveland is easy, takes little time, and can raise a significant amount of money.

Below are our steps to a have a successful campaign. If you need more guidance, need statistics or other supporting information, or simply have any questions- please reach out to Connie Sievers at CSievers@familypromisecle.org. Thank you for your support!

  • Step 1- Determine a fundraising goal and a time frame in which to achieve it. Two weeks is the typical time frame and the amount raised can range from in the $100s to the $1,000s.

  • Step 2- Decide how you will reach out to your peers (family, friends, colleagues, etc.) E-mails and social media are casual ways to do a P2P, but feel free to get creative! Have a BBQ, throw a dinner party- whatever fits your style!

  • Step 3- Make a list of who you will reach out to. Who shares your passion for helping others?

  • Step 4- Create a template for your “ask.” We encourage creativity and heart. Sharing why you have chosen to raise money for Family Promise, sharing statistics on homelessness and/or sharing personal experiences can all be powerful.

  • Step 5- Start your campaign! Click the link below and fill in some basic information to get your personalized link for your very own fundraiser!

  • Step 6- Campaign ends! Be sure to thank your peers who contributed. Anyone who donates directly through your link will receive an e-mailed “thank you” with information needed for tax purposed.

  • Step 7- Pat yourself on the back. You rock!
